Interview: Martha of Minty Fox

Hello lovely folk!

Most of you will probably know about Martha's blog The Minty Fox, where she posts about crafts, photography, fashion and all things inspirational. Martha is a teen British blogger with strong interests in all things creative. Her blog is very pretty, and has fantastic content. I love her cute DIY's such as her Homemade Stamps DIY which I would like to make.

Now, onto the interview!

Interview with Martha of The Minty Fox

Hello Martha! Tell us a bit about yourself and your blog
Hello! I am a 15 year old girl from the UK who spends most of her waking hours day dreaming. I'm a self-proclaimed wierdo, I love crafting and would happily spend the rest of my days reading. My blog is where I pour my love for crafts, photography, writing and fashion as well as sharing things I find inspirational and random ramblings.

What inspired you to start The Minty Fox?
Mostly it was other blogs.  I guess I wanted my own space, to share my thoughts and inspire others the way I have been inspired. There is always so much I want to say and show and my blog allows me to do just that. I've only been blogging for 5 months but I'm so glad I have.

What do you aspire to have as a future career?
Ever since I was younger (5 or 6) I've dreamed of being an author. Books have really impacted my life and the thought of someone reading a book I have written makes me happy. That dream has sort of progressed onto journalism and editorial work for magazines as well as professional blogging. I'm pretty ambitious I guess.

What do you enjoy blogging about most?
Definitely crafts, photography or art. I love sharing my work whether it's a DIY or just some doodles, in hope of inspiring someone else. They are the post I most enjoy reading so they are my favourite to make.

Are there any tips you have for growing an audience?
I think a major part of growing your audience is putting yourself out there. Talk to other bloggers with similar blogs to you and arrange button swaps or guest posts. Also use other social medias to share your blog and let others know where to find it, for example, if you have tumblr, create a new page that links to your blog. Saying all this, you shouldn't get too caught up with your follower count. You should focus on the quality of your blog and followers should come along.

Oh, and I found this adorable minty fox brooch on Etsy! I think Martha should wear this brooch as a staple piece, don't you?

Thank you so much for the interview Martha!
