Easy Homemade Apple Puree

Good day folks!

Today it is time for a new recipe! Homemade apple puree, the easy/lazy way. This stuff is so delicious, it's hard not to eat the whole batch when you finish making it.

Ingredients:

1 kg apples (I like using green apples for this recipe)

Method:

1. Peel all the apples.

2. Cut the cores out. I use an IKEA apple cutter for this, it makes it a heap easier!
3. Place all the apples in a microwaveable bowl (I used a large Pyrex)
4. Put in the microwave for 10 mins
5. Check if the apples are cooked, if they are, continue onto the next step, if not put in the microwave for 1 minute and continue to do this until cooked)
6. Drain out excess water into a small bowl, DO NOT throw away.
7. Use a masher or fork to mash the contents together, slowly adding in the water you drained out until the puree is at the right consistency.
8. Finished! I like to put it in a jar and then into the fridge. It is a nice cold treat!

This is roughly the size of apple I use.

Here is the IKEA apple cutter! I found mine at a garage sale for a dollar but they still sell them at IKEA.

Apple, broccoli and avocado puree. This recipe may sound odd, but it is delicious!

I hope that puree sounded tasty! I love apple puree. Since this recipe is so versatile, you can add in so many things to your puree, such as cocoa powder, berries, vanilla extract, honey, maple syrup or cinnamon. All are tasty options!

Hope you have a sweet day!

xx
