2 Delicious On-The-Go Beverages

Ok, so when you're out and about, and thirsty, it's always easy to grab that coke for 99c or that can of lemonade. I mean, all the healthy drinks taste too 'healthy', right? That's what I hear a lot! But fear no more my soda drinkers because I'm writing this post to help guide you on your journey to healthy (and delicious) beverages!

1. Coconut Water

I'm a huge fan of coconut water as a beverage. Just plain old coconut water. I will buy a can at least every time I stop by the supermarket, it tastes that good. I'm not sure how to describe the taste, apart from refreshing!

Why is it good for you?

It boasts zinc, selenium, iodine, sulfur, manganese, boron, molybdenum, ascorbic acid and B-group vitamins (good stuff). Pure coconut water is a natural beverage with no artificial additives or sweeteners. It's cholesterol free, 99 per cent fat free, low in carbohydrates and naturally occurring sugars and has less than 100 kilojoules per 100ml. Whoa! And guess what? That's not all! Coconut water is a natural sports drink. It has been dubbed "nature's Gatorade". Coconut water is a natural isotonic drink that provides many of the same benefits as formulated sports drinks, including the electrolytes calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium and potassium, but in their natural form. Oh, AND it slows down ageing. Dab it onto skin and you may also reduce acne, cellulite, eczema, stretch marks, wrinkles, age spots and sagging skin. So grab a coconut water and start drinking!

Yum! This is my favourite brand of coconut water. There are so many different flavours, but I tend to go for original. But, if I'm feeling a little adventurous I'll buy a guava flavoured one.

Did I mention I love the packaging as well?

2. Sugar-Free Green Tea

This one is my favourite. I like a specific brand of green tea, and the whole bottle (apart from the ingredients) is in Chinese so I'm not sure what the brand is. But if you know please comment below! I buy this green tea for 99c (AUD) from my local asian supermarket. There are so many drinks there... The green tea only has the benefits if you buy it with no sugar! I mean pure green tea. No sugar, sweeteners, no nothing. If you don't already know what green tea tastes like, I wrote a post on different types of tea where I described the taste.

Just like I said... so many drinks.

Here's my favourite green tea. I always pick one up when I'm near the asian supermarket. I was off to the cinema to see a movie today so I HAD to pick one up! And yes, that is the new issue 59 of Frankie! I'll show you some pics tomorrow.

Why is it good for you?

Green tea increases your metabolism, helping you to lose weight. It reduces our risk of developing many forms of cancer and inhibits the growth of cancer cells.

Green tea also lowers total cholesterol levels, improves the ratio of good (HDL) cholesterol to bad (LDL) cholesterol, helping to reduce the risk and treat rheumatoid arthritis.
It also reduces the risk of experiencing cardiovascular disease, treats impaired immune function helps prevent tooth decay, and prevents food poisoning. What more is there to say?

Hope you have a fabulous day,
